The purposeful life. I incorporated that tag line into the website content because it resonates with what I want for my life and for yours too.
A life of purpose? What does that really mean? To me, a purposeful life means that we have a choice in this lifetime to connect with our purpose and create the work (whatever that may be) that we love. Not through a frantic place of indescribable running around trying to make all of the parts of my life work so that the business is running smoothly and the website is “perfect” and the client’s needs are placed before my own. What connecting with a purposeful life means is opening to the possibilities when in those quiet moments, whether in mediation, walking my black lab through the glorious woods near our home, or connecting with an excerpt in a book that speaks to me-I connect with the universal source that speaks to me. Those moments when I am quiet, when my mind is quiet…those are the times that I connect with a universal source that guides me to the next step, to the next “aha” and the next possibility of what my purpose is.
So as I sit here today, I look back on this journey so far and I acknowledge that at those moments when I allow my mind to control my day, when I allow my “to-do” list to overwhelm me and honestly, everyone around me; I see clearly from that inner space that I become a roadblock to the possibilities that spirit has for me. I want to be the conduit, not a barrier to what can be. I want to be as Eckhart Tolle in his book, A New Earth wrote so eloquently: I am the hole in the flute that Christ’s breath moves through. Listen to this music.
Every note in this music that is life – I want to be guided by this breath.
What do you want?
Here’s to your purposeful life…
Lisa
